We have planned an amazing trip to La Paz, on the Baja California, Mexico.
WHERE ARE WE GOING?
La Paz is the capital of Baja California Sur, a Mexican state on the Baja California Peninsula. It’s known for its seafront Malecón promenade with beaches, parks and art by Mexican and international artists. Many bars and restaurants overlook the water.

WHY La Paz?
La Paz is buzzing town on the Baja California and the main gateway to the Sea of Cortez, which was named “The Aquarium of the World” by none other than Jaques Cousteau. It is a breathtaking part of the Pacific, situated between mainland Mexico and the Baja California peninsula. The sea stretches for nearly 1100 miles from Cabo San Lucas in the south almost to the US border in the north. It is almost as long as the west coast of the US but the average width of the sea is only 50-75 miles.

THE DIVING
Scuba diving in La Paz is incredible due to the Sea of Cortez’s rich biodiversity (dubbed “the world’s aquarium” by Cousteau), offering interactions with playful sea lions at Los Islotes, majestic whale sharks, even shipwrecks, suitable for all levels with clear, warm waters and UNESCO-protected sites like Espiritu Santo Island. It’s famous for unique encounters, from mobula rays to hammerhead sharks, whales and so on. You never know what you going to see.

THE HOTEL
We will stay at the boutique hotel Hotel Catedral La Paz, it is part of the historic center of the city, surrounded by major attractions next to “Our Cathedral Lady of La Paz”. The lively “La Paz Malecon” promenade is just a few minutes’ walk away. There you will find numerous reasonably priced restaurants, from fish restaurants to steakhouses and taco snack bars. In the evening, the promenade offers a lively nightlife with numerous bars and nightclubs. The public city beach of La Paz is just under 500 metres away and the Buceo Carey diving centre is around two kilometres away, with the centre offering a free shuttle service.
The hotel has a modern, minimalist design and 78 rooms. On the roof terrace there is an infinity pool with sun loungers, pool bar and wonderful views of the city. On the terrace, which is furnished with upholstered furniture, tables and chairs, you can also enjoy the sunset with a cool drink and reflect on the exciting dives. The dive shop is located a short few minute walk from the hotel.

The trip will take place from November 16th to 23rd, 2027.
