This will be an unforgettable trip as Curacao is an easily accessible paradise\, and we will be staying at an all-inclusive seaside resort! An easy-to-plan\, easy-to-execute trip of a lifetime!  WHERE ARE WE GOING? We are going to Curacao for a 7-night adventure\, diving in some of the most pristine waters of the Caribbean. Curaçao is a Caribbean island and country that’s part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It’s known for its beaches\, historic sites\, and rugged landscapes. A small island\, approximately 300 square miles\, Curacao is near Bonaire and Aruba just 40 miles north of Venezuela. (Curacao is also known for Curacao Liqueur made from the dried peel of the laraha bitter orange\, a citrus fruit grown on Curaçao.)  WHY Curacao? Curacao lies below the hurricane belt and is world renowned for some of the best diving in the Caribbean. The unique position of the island creates an ideal environment for marine life to thrive. With most of the dive sites located on the southern coast\, Ocean Encounters\, the dive shop co-located with our resort\, is perfectly situated to visit a number of these sites during our week on the island  Curacao is the largest of the ABC Islands (Aruba\, Bonaire and Curacao) and is home to some of the most bio-diverse reefs in the Caribbean. The sheltered southern coast is rich in coral\, and suitable for divers of all levels\, with little in the way of adverse conditions at any of the popular dive sites. Divers never seem to be able to stop talking about the beauty of scuba diving Curacao! THE DIVING We will be diving with Ocean Encounters. Their team of passionate\, professional divers thrives on the thrill of exploring the depths. As Curaçao’s premier Dive Center\, they live and breathe diving—literally! Their bold\, dedicated dive professionals can’t stand to stay dry and are always eager to share the magic of Curaçao’s pristine reefs and diverse marine life. With so many breathtaking dive sites\, it’s hard to find a reason not to dive in Curacao. We will be enjoying 5 days of 2-tank boat dives with Ocean Encounters on their fleet of five custom-built dive boats. Unlimited shore dives are included in our package. Of the 70 dive sites around Curacao\, Ocean Encounters has determined its 14 favorites and will work to include them in our schedule for the week. THE HOTEL We will be staying at Sunscape Curaçao Resort\, Spa & Casino\, where everything from dining to entertainment is included. Enjoy your diving adventures in clear waters\, pampering at the spa\, or try your luck at the casino. When you’re not sightseeing\, sip a cocktail poolside while the kids have fun at the Explorer’s Club\, before enjoying a meal at any of the specialty-themed restaurants.
